Doris was a long-time, beloved member of Partners in Aging. Your donation will support the pet therapy program she encouraged for residents of her apartment building in Highland Park, Illinois. Each month, volunteers brought their cats and dogs to visit and mingle with residents.
Doris’s hearing loss never put her at a disadvantage—she found joy in watching the animals “love on” the seniors. But the real fun came from watching the animals interact with each other. Doris and the other residents found those moments extremely comical. The room was always filled with laughter when the pets came to visit.
